Director Eli Roth’s family-friendly fantasy film is an adaptation of John Bellairs’ 1973 juvenile mystery fiction novel of the same name. A young orphan (Owen Vaccaro) moves into a mysterious mansion that belongs to his eccentric uncle (Jack Black). He learns that his uncle is a warlock and his neighbor (Cate Blanchett) is a witch and uses his newfound magical abilities to defeat the forces of evil.~Augustine Chay
The movie, The House with the Clock in it's Walls was one I saw the previews and was interested enough to buy it to see the movie. It has a very colorful and vivid storyline that is very interesting to watch the movie unfold and makes you want to see it again. I also enjoy the added parts of the making of the movie to make the movie even better to have!
The movie is perfect movie for a family movie that is funny and will be quick favorite movie this is it. If your also a Jack Black fan you would love how funny he is in this movie. This movie has adventure, magic, and fun filled movie I wouldn't think twice about watching this movie or a movie to own and watch many times you won't make a mistake with this movie.
Definitely something different, story-wise, in today’s pandemic of same-old, same-old Marvel movies. Unlike Peter Parker, the protagonists learns magic by reading and he-s just a kid. Result is some gaping pot holes, especially during the climax, but it’s entertaining, especially since the movie’s look and cinematography are A grade (reason for four star). Entertaining and worth a look-see, especially for the eye candy.
What a cool movie cinematography great high definition great surround sound great the cast and crew great that little kid stole the show Jack Black was awesome special effects top drawer overall yes I recommend it oh yeah Cate Blanchett a total babe
If you like Jack Black. And, you are a fan of Kyle McLachlan. Then you are in for a surprise with this movie. If you like magic and mystery then this movie is definitely for you. With an awesome story and a good cast of characters this movie is an homerun.
