    The Midnight Meat Train
A photographer propelled to explore his dark side begins tracking a subway serial killer whose brutal butchery makes for the most nightmarish images ever captured on camera in director Ryuhei Kitamura's adaptation of a short story by horror heavyweight Clive Barker. Leon Kaufman (Bradley Cooper) is just another struggling photographer in search of the perfect subject. Encouraged to explore the sinister side of humanity by a prominent art gallery proprietor (Brooke Shields) who is set to display his upcoming debut, Leon goes against the wishes of his girlfriend, Maya (Leslie Bibb), and begins stalking notorious serial killer Mahogany (Vinnie Jones) -- whose sadistic murder spree has been making headlines all across the country. As Leon's fascination with Mahogany gradually grows into obsession, his descent into the killer's putrid world of murder begins to corrupt his soul while simultaneously dragging his concerned girlfriend down a perverse path of darkness from which there is no return. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

      Great horror movie!

First of all, I'm a huge Clive Barker fan. I have many of his books and all of his movies. So, needless to say, I was very impressed, especially with Vinnie Jones at the helm. He fits the roll to a tee. For those of you unfamiliar with Clive Barker, he did H*llraiser, Candyman, and other great classics. His books are alot like Stephen King's with a more twisted imagination. If you're up for a good twisted plot, lots of gore and killing, then this is the one! This movie has more imagination behind it than your everyday slasher film and a cameo by UFC great, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson. I loved it!

      Brilliant adaptation of short story

This movie is brilliantly made. Clive barker collaborated closely with the director on this one, and they made a fabulous adaptation of one of Barker's classic short stories. The acting is very well done, with rising star Bradley Cooper changing pace and performing a horror instead of comedic role. Also Vinney Jones is very good at playing the bleak emotionless "man in grey." If you are a Barker fan, or a horror fan, you should definately check this one out.

Clive Barker's short story perfectly adapted

Usually when a book is made into a movie you hear "yeah, but have you read the book? It's waaay better. This film is the exception. The acting is superior and the subway train itself is almost a character. The cinematography is awesome as the subway flies through the "abyss" towards "hell" and the music is the perfect underpinning for all of this. The acting is top rate, Vinnie Jones is relentlessly awesome and Bradley Cooper is fabulous as his unknowing replacement.

      Odd dark horror yet confusing.

Bradley Cooper ( 'The Hangover') portrays a photographer set to reveal the dark world of the unknown as to trail a serial killer butcher Mahogany to surprise ends. Brooke Shileds and Leslie Bibb of Iron Man co-star. A unique story about the horrors of "reality", the movie leaves some questions to the monsters in play plus what and why Mahogany is. Beautiful crisp scenery, the movie is simple gore and silent chills.

      A decent horror film

I picked this up cause I am a fan of Vinnie Jones, and he is the one who does all the killing in this movie. Clive Barker, the guy who made h**l raiser is the one who made this as well. So you know it's gonna be weird. It's worth watching once just to see how brutal it gets and see how to get away with murder on a train. Plus Vinnie is doing his usual kick butt villain role.

I've not enjoyed the new modern style of horror being churned out but I took a gambit since this is a Clive Barker piece, and I enjoyed it. Now I wish a prequel was made based on Mahogany since he wasn't a straight up silent killer.
