I could write a long essay or op-ed on how deeply and dearly I still love "The Muppet Movie". There are too many heartfelt things I can say about it -- too many to describe here. But I suspect almost anyone anywhere has seen the movie. It is -- quite simply -- charming, hilarious, clever, delightful, nostalgic fun for the whole family. Kids will appreciate it for the characters and the hilarious moments; adults will be able to catch the somewhat subversive jokes that would fly over a child's head. Kermit and the gang are old friends we can all delight in seeing anytime in entertainment, but "The Muppet Movie" is the original and still the very, very best of all their big-screen and small-screen feature-length adventures. A genuine classic.

Not sure kids today can appreciate all the humor in this. I feel like a lot of it likely goes over their heads. Having said that, my 9, 8, and 6 -year-olds enoyed it. And so did I. Hadn't seen it for 40 years and it brought back a flood of happy memories. Most of the puppeteering is pretty amazing. And the production is solid through in through. Only part that took me out of it a little was Fozzy's dancing scene. Looked like not the best blue screen. Steve Martin's small cameo really stood out for me. And the music -- most by the amazing Paul Williams -- was fantastic. Thanks to the lovers. The dreamers .... and YOUUUUUUU ....

This is truly a great, entertaining, and funny family movie. Everyone in the family can watch and enjoy this movie. There is no violence, sex, profanity, or anything objectionable in this movie. It is a classic that will be enjoyed by all ages from grandma & grandpa all the way down to 3 & 4 year olds. Grab some snacks and sit down with your family to watch this truly entertaining fun movie.
