(Flash demo) SynopsisIn the year 2012, the era of the nation-state is drawing to a close. The nations of the future increasingly have turned to private military companies, also known as PMCs, to aid in their defense. These elite mercenaries provide clear benefits to the nations that engage them, but they also tend to take a rather lax view of the law. Even so, the Reykjavik Accords have authorized the PMCs' right to serve in every aspect of military operations. As the PMCs' role is further legitimized and their influence grows, concerns have begun to mount. Have the PMCs been granted too much power? And, if so, what will the consequences be for the world?
Tom Clancy's HAWX puts you in the pilot's seat for revolutionary aerial combat action in an all-too-realistic world of the near-future. Engage in intense high-altitude warfare, complete with cutting-edge technology and devastating firepower. Despite what so many people want to say, this is not Ace Combat 6, nor was it designed to be that way. You are fighting over real world locations in some very plausible situations. The assistance OFF mode takes some getting used to, but once you play it awhile and understand what they're going for it's great and it allows you tremendous freedom of movement. Personally, one of the first things I look for in a game is the online coop capabilities, and HAWX has jump-in, jump-out coop, which means you can join a friend in mid fight and still achieve the same goals. Too many games treat coop as some weird stepchild instead of making it fully interactive. I have been playing the demo with friends since the day it came out and we are all now working to invent a time machine to get to the launch faster. It is not a traditional flight sim by any means. It's designed for quick, consistent action. I have the AC6 flight stick that I have been using with it and it works great. I have also ordered the HAWX stick, which is the same design as the Saitek Aviator and it should be here by monday. When using a flight stick you really have an unparalleled level of precision when it comes to the control of your plane and it's AWESOME! You are also working inside the story of other Tom Clancy games, (Ghost Recon AW 2 and EndWar) so I feel that they did a great job of integrating this so that you feel like you are in the middle of a much larger war instead of fighitng for a country you have never heard of against pilots with cheesy names and even cheesier dialogue. (go dance with the angels in Gracemeria, you'll get my drift.)

This game is going to be awesome for many reasons...first, its a Tom Clancy game (Duh), two, its not just aerial battles but ground protection of troops (real to life scenerios). third, graphics and details are sweet. Download this and find out why its so good. Cannot wait.

I wanted to start of by saying that the graphics on this game are excellent. As far as the game play is concern, it's too easy even on the hardest setting. The controls are similar to the Ace Combat series. Except for button A is for shooting missles, button B is for the cannon and the D pad is for the missle selections. You rank up faster if you complete the challenges in the campaign & on-line mode (just like any other game). What I noticed is that all the matches now takes place in the "Player Match". Not too many people are playing the "Rank Match". Speaking of on-line, it lags. It doesn't happen that often though. It is a fun game overall.

I just got finished playing the DEMO on Xbox 360 and this game is amazing. I thought it was going to be challenging and it was at first but by the second time I played the DEMO I was much better at it. This game is a game you should get if you like planes, flying, or shooting.

I say this is by far one of the best flying games I have played in a long time. The graphics are amazing, and the sound effects really add that little extra boost.
The controls are pretty user friendly, when you turn assistance off it becomes a little tricky, but nothing a little practice won't take care of.
I think the story line for this game is awesome. I usually end up liking Tom Clancy games but usually hate flying games. Haex has definitely changed my mentality for flying games in the future. Simply put, I had a blast playing this game.

Overall its a great game. Most levels are really hard especially when you have to save a troop, they usually just die. It is easy to shoot missiles which is a good thing. I would strongly recommend you play this on Xbox Live

Great game overall. Graphics are amazing and all the scenery is awsome. Each aircraft looks and handle differently. Only thing that is missing is the occassional landing whether its carrier based or land based or even an ariel refueling. Lots of different aircraft to unlock and choose from. Overall a must have for aviation enthusiasts like me
