A: Hi. This is Frank from TracFone Wireless. Thank you for reaching out to us. For Feature Phones: Tracfone airtime is issued in unit increments. All calls are charged at a rate of one (1) unit per minute. With some older Tracfone handset models, roaming calls (refer to the Roaming Section of these Terms) are charged at the rate of two (2) units per minute. There is no additional charge for nationwide long distance or for international long distance, in eligible Plans, to countries designated at tracfone.com. The rate to send or receive a text message varies by Tracfone handset model and is disclosed on your Tracfone package. For most feature phones, the rate to send or open a text message is 0.3 units. For Smartphones: Smartphones have separate buckets of units for voice calls, text messaging and data usage. Voice calls are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per minute. Text messages are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per text. Data is charged based on actual usage. Tracfone service does not allow international text messaging. Attempting to send international messages could result in Service deactivation. Minutes are deducted for all incoming and outgoing calls, including incoming call waiting calls, simultaneous calls, toll free calls, and calls to 411, 611, Customer Care, and your voice mail. For simultaneous calls, such as incoming call waiting and 3-way calling (where available) minutes will be deducted for each call. Minutes are not deducted for calls to 911. For outbound calls, you may be charged minutes for incomplete, busy, or no answer calls. Minutes are deducted in full unit increments. Partial minutes are rounded up to the next minute. No credit is given for dropped calls. If you are using a feature phone, minutes will also be deducted for use of other services such as text messaging and accessing the Tracfone Mobile Web (“WAP”).

Q: If I purchase the $125.00 card is it really good for a year?. I would like to be able to buy just one card for the whole year. Thank you

A: Hi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. Yes. This card that comes with 1500 for calls, 1500 for text, and 1.5MB for data is good for 365 days.

Q: I am confused -- is this a pre-paid or monthly plan? So once the 30 days are up, will I need to pay another $15 no matter what? Or will I be able to continue to use the phone as long as I did not exceed 500 minutes of talk time/500 texts?

A: Hi. This is Frank from TracFone Wireless. The plan is only good for 30 days. Once your 30 days are up, you will need to add for another $15 to continue using your service even though the 500 mins call/text are not used up. Thank you.

Q: Is this 500 minutes?

A: Yes, this card will give you 500 talk minutes... and more: 1000 outgoing text messages, and 500 MB of data (up to 4G depending on signal area). It will keep your phone active for 30 days. If you have leftover mins/texts they will roll over to a new activation card. (I don't know if data does cuz I always use it up! lol) But having leftover mins/texts at the end of 30 days will NOT keep your phone active on their own. (Need to purchase another card to keep active.) Tracfone has other cards that are minutes only if that is all you want, and I think they make some that have no service expiration dates -if you find those then the phone service is active for as long as you still have minutes and doesn't switch off at 30 days... consider your needs and always read the descriptions closely!

Q: I am purchasing the SIM card to use with my unlocked iPhone. In addition, I understand I need to purchase the Smartphone Code. If I purchase this Smartphone Code 30 day plan, when will the 30 days begin? Is it from the purchase date, or upon activation?

Q: Can I use an active Tracfone coupon code, when purchasing a top up card online at Best Buy? If so,can you share what area is provided to apply it? I could not see an area where I can apply it, in the check out area? I look forward to your response.

A: If you want to use an active Tracfone coupon code, you can only use it on Tracfone.com or on their app. I made that mistake last year.

Q: Will this plan work with my tracfone A406DL alcatel flip phone

A: Hi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. Unfortunately, no. This plan will only work on a Smartphone.

Q: I have a number of minutes and texts. How do I get unlimited data added.
