I was a huge fan of the original Tron game back in the 80's. Having said that, this game was in my opinion a huge disappointment.
The controls on the Wii are confusing and counter-intuitive to say the least. Sometimes you press A, sometimes +, to perform the same functions. If you use the Nunchuck extension, switching to actions that require "driving" like the Light Cycles pretty much requires removing it constantly to comfortably hold the Wii Remote and then re-attach it.
The look & feel of the game itself is, quite frankly, cartoonish. With all the money that Disney put into the movie for the 3D effects, this was the best they could come up with for the video game? Really? And the dialog that is included - puh-lease!
I will still play the game - I still am. The story mode is somewhat interesting and I have not completed it yet, so it is entertaining and involved. The Battle Grid mode is a great way to simply play the games, but you have to unlock the advanced games through story mode.
Ultimately, however, I would much rather be playing the original arcade version of the Tron game. It was much more fun and challenging.
I would recommend this to a die-hard Tron fan, but for those that haven't see the Tron movies, you should probably just go for something more familiar. You will probably be lost and not enjoy it.
