Perfect face steamer!
|Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic! Works great for when you need to open up the poor and do a deep clean! Also, love the fact that you can add essential oils to it! As well as being small enough to be able to put away without taking up too much space!

The oils option is great and it comes with three different lids. It really sets the vibes and preps your skin for the rest of your skin care regiment.

Poor instructions, good unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great addition to any skincare regimen. Steam opens up your facial pores so the dirt and oils can be released. The instructions for this unit are Terrible, with a capital T. Upon first inspecting this unit, I couldn’t figure out how to open the tank. Steam comes from water, so I knew there had to be a tank somewhere. There’s a flat patch on the back, so I knew it was here, but nowhere in the instructions does it say how to get the water tank out. So I’m sharing a picture here. Use thumb pressure to push the patch upwards, and the tank should come up and out of the unit. Fill this little tank with distilled water. This amount of water should last over 15 minutes, which is the amount of time for one treatment. This unit should really come with a funnel so you can get water into the narrow tank neck, but I borrowed my funnel from the kitchen to do it. Once you plug in and turn on the unit with the button in front, steam will start to emerge from the spout. If you wanted to put essential oils into your treatment, don’t put that in the water but on one of the included round spout snap-on things. There’s a cushion in the inner part of it to dab your essential oil on. Then snap that onto the unit’s spout. I didn't use that. However, without any added scent, the smell I got from the steam reminded me of the steam from an iron, or the smell in a sauna. Not bad smells, but that’s what it reminded me of. The instructions tell you to keep your face at least 25 centimeters back of the steam, you don't want to get burned, and that's 9.8” in inches. That’s about all this thing does, but if you want to clean the gunk out of your pores, this is a great way to do it without going to get a professional facial.

Soothing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This steamer is awesome. I have not had a professional facial in about a year and a half. I miss them! This steamer is just as good as the professional ones. It produces a very soft, yet dense uniform steam cloud. I had a make shift steamer that I used on occasion before this one. It was the steamer meant for heating up hair rollers (one at a time). That steam would sputter, spit out tiny droplets that could burn you, and was not nearly as soft and controlled. This steamer is clearly made for facial contact and is very pleasant. I have sensitive skin too. It does come with 3 wells that snap on top of the mist nozzle, should you desire to add essential oils to the experience. [Do not put oils in the water reservoir.] The wells have a tiny circular sponge surrounding the opening that can absorb a couple drops of essential oils. I bet that would be nice. Since I have sensitive skin, I didn't try it. Sometimes essential oils give me dermatitis, so I didn't want to risk it shooting at my face. I have essential oil diffusers that last for 3 hours to 10 hours. This is not a practical diffuser for just smelling oils or making a room smell nice for a long period. It runs for 10 to 15 minutes tops with a full reservoir. The reservoir holds 1/2 cup at max capacity. It also calls for distilled water. That is the only down side. I used RO (reverse osmosis) water and it worked well. Just be warned, it doesn't mention this as an option. I do know my water is low on minerals and avoiding hard water is the goal, I'm guessing. I will, out of curiosity, try distilled water to see if it makes a noticeable difference. I doubt it makes a difference though. The size is nice and compact: 8 inches tall, and 5 inches wide. I gave my 11 year old her first facial and she liked the experience too. We finished our steam session with a clay mask which made the facial complete. Opening the pores first is key, and this steamer achieves that.

Super steam, Super fast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is beautiful. However, I found myself going to YouTube, in hopes of finding someone who showed how to remove the water tank. The instructions are very lack luster. No description of how to remove the tank. It took a bit of elbow grease but I was finally able to remove the tank and since initial removal it hasn’t been too difficult to remove. This unit produces are great amount of steam, which is heated extremely fast (roughly 30-45 secs). It fills my entire face and supplies such a relaxing feeling. It lasts about 15 mins or so. I’ve only used it three times, trying to keep this going atleast 3x/wk but I’m hoping to see a vast difference with prolonged use. Since we are going into colder months I’ll use it more often to prevent my skin from drying out. It comes with 3 essential oil baskets so you can have a spa-like experience while you steam. It’s one of the best features besides the steam itself. I do wish that they supplied a carrying bag for them or made a unit wear you could store the baskets underneath or somewhere hidden. I do like that the nozzle is adjustable depending on seating position. So I can use it just about anywhere like on our coffee table at night when I like to be as close to the couch as possible. Lol. After steaming my skin feels so moisturized and accepts my serums, balms, oils and moisturizers so much easier. This is a welcomed addition to my skincare routine.

Very Nice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the chance to test out the Vanity Planet - Facial Steamer. What I like about the Vanity Steamer is that it is easy and quick to set up. This little miniature gadget reminds me of a tiny humidifier. Not only does it steam your face by opening up its pores, but it also is great in my opinion for breathing in. As I am a person with allergies/sinuses, it helped. This is in no way medical advice. It simply worked for me. The steamer comes with a compartment that you fill with water. There are two different levels. Min/Max (see image). Be sure to use distilled water per the instructions. Once the water is inside the little tank. You plug the unit into the outlet and it takes about a minute to heat up. The steam then releases. The steamer is relaxing because you are able to breathe in the mist and at the same time let it work on your face. After steaming my face, I applied a light moisturizer. I liked that this steamer did not irritate my skin. It was relaxing and glad to own this product now. Overall a good product. Would recommend.

Q: QuestionCan essential oils be put in the steamer?
Asked by Kate.
- A:Answer You wouldn't put essential oils into the unit, but it does come with snap-on caps where you dab your E.O. on the inside and attach that to the steam nozzle. See picture, the three round cap things are for essential oil. See my review dated 11/3/21.
