A: When I purchased my device, it was activated at the store. They gave me a printout with the phone number of the device. I was not able to get an account created online (I kept getting an error message) so I called customer service and they got everything straightened out right away.

A: It is locked to Verizon, there is no unlocking policy anywhere on the documentation. Don't expect to find an answer from Verizon. Their support for these things is less than useless.
Q: Does this hot spot work when cell service is spotty?
A: Mine did - I got great reception in a sketchy area!

A: This is a no contract prepaid hotspot. So yes, but the monthly data is expensive. $80 for 100gb

A: Yes data is purchased online and from what I saw they range from $50 to $90
