Could not activate sim that came with it . Brang it to Verizon and they said couldn’t not activate ot was locked to Best Buy . I read somewhere if you just pop in an activated hotspot device sim it should work . Tried it that and guess what it worked like a charm . Deducted 2 stars because of the inconvenience of having to get another SIM card and I had to wait till the next day since Verizon store was closed . But if I activated at Best Buy which I recommend to do this would be 5 stars. Download speeds when tested with ookla speed test I got 40-60mb it’s good enough for my usage wich is to game on my Nintendo switch . I could use my iPhone hotspot but that’ll drain battery and heat up the phone plus the hotspot device performs better

We live in a rural area, its just ok. At night the signal gets really bad. If more than one user is on the hotspot it gets very slow

Device works great but the store associates had trouble connecting it. Had to call the carrier later to get it set up. The area I was in had bad reception but it still worked well. Cons are mostly that the usage update had a lag and the data plans with this hotspot are much more expensive than its competitor Mint

Unreliable. Any power outage or blip from the tower and the device is disconnected until YOU reset it: not convenient if you're using this for a location occupied part time. In addition, if you can figure out the cobweb of "push #" options for customer service, you're connected with someone located in the Philippines who, quite honestly, is very nice but has no clue how to help you. When the device is working, speeds tend to be highly variable, even within short time frames, not just peak vs off peak hours. Like I say in the title... save your money.

The device worked as intended, but the limitations (i e the one month time limit and the suspension of the account after 60 days of inactivity regardless of the balance of the unused data and funds in the account). I would think that if you pay for 100 GB of data you should get 100 GB of data whether you use them in 2 weeks or 2 months. I can understand a limit on the data, but not a 30 day 'Use or lose' policy.

I would give 0 stars if i could. Was sold to me locked and after hours on the phone transferred from agent to agent Verizon said i had to return it back to the store for them to sell me another one. Exchanged it and was told it was unlocked went to the parking lot to activate and it was locked as well. Extremely frustrating!

Nothing went right with this from the initial activation at the store to trying to fill this monthly. Just horrible. Nothing works right. I've spent hours on the phone w/ VZW. First they said BestBuy messed up the activation... but after all that was supposedly fixed, I still have trouble re-loading it minutes. Don't bother with this. Go to one of the carrier stores and get a 5g device.

I bought this device to get connected to the internet because my in-home Wi-Fi stopped working and it would take days for my ISP to send out a technician. It did not work. The device told me to call Verizon and when I did, they said that this device is not compatible with their network. The Verizon rep I spoke to said he never heard of this device, so Verizon sent me a jetpack in the mail for free. I had to work at a friend’s house for a few days due to this inconvenience. Do not waste your time by buying this product. Even the sales reps at Best Buy do not understand this product. It took 2 different employees to ring this product up at the register.

Unfortunately, this product is pretty much an aggravation if you do not have an existing Verizon account. I can not speak for those who do have one, but I can truthfully tell you that I have called Verizon at least three different times (three diff numbers) and had no luck at all. And one of these numbers was the actual number on the paperwork that came with this little box of aggravation. Smh. I am not blaming BestBuy for this, but it would be Nice if they knew enough about what they sold my son to let him know at the time of purchase how much trouble he was going to have for one simple task (or which should be a simple task)!!
