Really nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is a welcomed replacement to my prior one (a 1.5 year old LG Optimus Elite), which had served me well but developed a cracked screen. The battery life is wonderful by comparison. Its screen is nicely sized. Buttons and cord receptacles are sensibly placed, unlike my old one, which may have contributed to why I lost my grasp. It has convenient options, shortcuts, apps, and features, including a two-way camera (which my Optimus lacked), allowing me to fully Skype. Other little things are appearing to be improvements to what I used, as well, such as that autocorrect is MUCH more accurate and user-friendly than my old phone. Even the backing feels like a really nice texture. The $45 / month plan is a little more than what I used to pay, but it offers unlimited talk and text. I was disappointed by how quickly my mobile data was used, but I have since learned that employing Wi-Fi does not use data, so I should be well-off next month, knowing that. Before I decided on which phone, I researched and was already strongly considering this, but when a very knowledgeable salesperson recommended it (while only knowing that I was comparing it with other models), I was pretty much sold. Needless to say, I am quite happy.

Good Features, Low Cost, Quality made phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a brand new, just released phone. You just can't get a better Android device, for less than 100. Know what makes it even better? How about the freedom to own one today, without getting locked into a $100/mo, 2-year commitment. What if you discover the quality of service isn't what you expected? Just term your service, without the worry of ETF's. The perfect phone for anyone who wants a few nice features a smartphone offers, but doesn't need to have it pull from 12 separate email accounts, or watching YouTube and Netflix videos all day. It offers a great value for those of us in the 20 percentile group that don't pull our phones out every 15 minutes, in fear of missing the latest post on Facebook.

Capable phone with android 4.4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little phone is very capable with a fast processor, a quality build, a decent camera, and android kit kat 4.4! We upgraded my wife from an old blackberry bold (with a major carrier, beginning with an A), to this phone which is prepaid month-to-month with Verizon. The price was great considering all the abilities of the phone. It works well with GPS and map applications. We weren't sure about going from blackberry to android, but my wife loves it! She even dropped the phone in a shallow pool in Belize. It was almost 5 minutes before she realized where her phone was. After putting it in rice and letting it dry out for a day or so, it works like new. Incredible. It's only 3g, but the processor makes this bearable for the "average" user or for someone for whom this phone would be an upgrade. We're glad we gave it a try! With a rugged build, kit kat, and water resistance, only 4g could make it better!

Great phone for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.* Positives: - Bright, sharp display. - Snappy quad core processor. - Android Kit Kat update. - Great battery life for a phones with a decent size screen. - Crisp, clear & loud sound. - Fits nicely in the palm of my hands. - Easy to find accessories. - Works with Walmart's exclusive Verizon $45/month smartphone plan. * Negatives: - A meager 8 GB of 'set in stone' memory. - The top of the phone is heavier than the bottom which gives an awkward feel. - The battery is also 'set in stone'. - If one wants to substitute this phone for their Verizon 'ball-n-chain' phone, a 6 months period of continued service costing at least $300 is required. - It can only be used on Verizon's network. No MVNO's like Straight talk or Net10.

Great pay as you go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone for my children to take when they go somewhere without me. The major selling points were that it was on the Verizon Network, had a supported Otter Box Case, and the price was fair. It was very easy to setup. I unboxed the phone and had it up and running and a plan chosen in 15 minutes. The setup was fairly painless. I used the phone first to make sure it would be fairly kid friendly. The Motorola distro of Andriod was fairly bulky. The menus are not very intuitive and adding buttons and widgets to the desktop is not the best. However with that said, I got it setup the way the kids would need it in a few minutes. (I guess I'm just spoiled by Samsung). The initial charge was lengthy but the battery is fairly good. It was a bit bulkier than what I'm used to, but this is actually ideal for my kids. My daughter took it to a rural camp and the Verizon Network was worth the purchase. The conversations were clear and crisp. She had no problem using the phone and was begging me for apps before I knew it. Overall, this is a great phone for someone who is not worried about too many bells and whistles, but still wants to have a smartphone.

Nice android 4.4 phome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm going to introduce myself as someone who loves their electronics, but doesn't have the budget to pay for all that I want! As a student with a part time job, I need a phone, but in no way can I afford to pay the contract plans everyone - including most of my friends - seem to get. Unless you're entering a contract with a bunch of people, you are going to pay at least 70$ USD per month (depending on carrier, for Verizon you have to pay 40 per month per smartphone and 50 per month for the individual BASE service plan [500 MB cap]) and is just not a good value, unless you HAVE to have the latest smartphone with the best features, such as the beautiful Galaxy Note 3 or the Samsung Galaxy S5. My TOTAL plan cost for this phone with Verizon is 45$ per month flat, and I get unlimited TALK and TEXT, with 500MB of data - AT+T has a similar no contract plan available, and I'm assuming other carriers have close to this per month cost as well. I did a lot of research into what might be good values for no-contract and prepaid phones, and it basically came between this phone (99$ but locked to Verizon), the unlocked version of this phone (199$), the unlocked Galaxy S3 (199$), the iPhone 4 (199$) and the goofy knock-off-Windows Nokia Lumia 520 and 521 (54.99, AT+T// 69.99, T-Mobile). I won't go into the pros/cons of each phone, but this phone had significant points that bought me over. Pros: Snappy Dual-Core processor, perfect for flipping between tasks, opening word documents, browsing the web.. and my favorite, running GameBoy Advance emulators - something you can't do on IPhones (IOS) or windows phones (Nokia Lumia series). 8GB of Flash Storage - plenty, to be honest. Remember, you're buying a Smartphone!

Q: QuestionCan this phone be used on non-verizon networks?Like AT&T, Tmobile or any GSM network outside the US
Asked by 7brats.
- A:Answer No sim card slot and no GSM radios built into this phone. It is CDMA only and pretty much locked down on Verizon prepaid.

Q: QuestionCan this device be used on wifi for internet searches and apps WITHOUT having it activated?I'm considering it as a replacement for my old Galaxy Player, which was essentially a cellphone with no phone capability. It'll be a great deal if it will work right out of the box on wifi, but not so much a deal if I need to pay Verizon to have it activated.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, I bought one to test that and you can bypass the Verizon set up and go to directly set up the Android portion of it so it functions like a tablet on wifi. Works great for this but you have to remember to put in in Airplane mode or it will revert back to the Verizon set up screen every time it is rebooted.
