A: yes it does, you can connected as multiroom speakers but can not do Stereo sound.

A: The short answer is yes. However, like all devices which have rechargeable batteries, it's important to make sure it does not overheat from being plugged in. I've used mine while plugged with no problem. Use yours while plugged and just be careful. Best
