Q: how can you tell the exterior dimensions of the refrigerator? I'm concerned about space.

A: 68.5 inches high at the back of unit (70 high accounting for the door hinges at the front) 32.5 " deep (not counting the handles) 36" wide

Q: What is the finish?Glossy or textured?

A: Textured on the sides, Glossy on the front. Did not understand that concept. Very hard to keep front clean!!

Q: Does it come with a water filter installed?

A: yes and when time comes easy to install....light in fridge tells you filter is good --green or needs replacing --red

Q: Does this have the cord attached?

A: Yes it comes with a power cord. It does not; however, come with the necessary items needed to connect the water line.

Q: What is the recommended cleaning method for the front of the refrigerator?

A: yes, you want to avoid paper towels and harsh chemicals. any microfiber cloth and mild cleaning solution will work. I recommend "afresh". works great without dulling the look and eating away smudge proof coatings

Q: After changing filter, how much water should I drain before I can use the water again?

A: I've always drained 2 gallons worth. I think I read that somewhere before (an old Kenmore Elite manual maybe) and have just always followed that rule.

Q: i have in house water filter system. Can it be used without the filter.

A: Yes, but Whirlpool won't tell you this as the filter when inserted actually opens (or presses in) the valve to allow the water to flow into (and out of) the filter. The refrigerator will actually tell you to change filters based on time rather than actual usage. Whirlpool likes to sell their overpriced filters and don't share this information.

Q: Color Detail

A: Glossy and looks very sharp! Fingerprints clean off with ease unlike stainless models ; )
