  • Features
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: Does this dishwasher contain Bitumen? Also are the racks made of Nylon or PVC? Thank you.

A: Hi Holly, thank you for your inquiry. All of our dishwashers have a certain amount of bitumen in the mastic material that is baked on our stainless steel tubs for sound dampening. We hope this helps!

Q: Does this model have a disposal in it? What is the sound decibel?

A: Hi Terri, the decibel level(dBA) for this dishwasher model is 50.There is no disposal available with it.Hope this helps.Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.

Q: How many washer arms and are they made of metal or plastic?

A: There is an upper and lower arm and look to be plastic, but not quite sure

Q: WHAT IS NOISE LEVEL OF THIS DISHWASHER

A: I would say it is VERY quiet. The most significant noise has come from what I had in it and how I loaded it more than from the cycles and sounds of the dishwasher, which itself is really quiet. I recently had a metal pot on the bottom rack and I heard the water intermittently hitting inside the metal pot during the wash cycle.

Q: What kind of electrical hook-up do you need for this.....I've seen the terms plug and hard-wire. I currently have a Kitchenaid with a stainless tub that is about 13 yr old. I have no idea how it's hooked up.

A: Mary, we recommend installing per page 10 of the Installation Instructions regarding electrical connection. We've included the link below for the Installation Instructions. If further assistance is needed, please contact a certified installer. Hopefully, this information is beneficial to you. Q: Does this dishwasher have the utensil tray on the door side An back?

A: Hello MnMs! The silverware rack is located on the Bottom Rack. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.

Q: I would like to know when this dishwasher completes its final cycle and I open the door to remove my dishes will it be completely dry inside My dishes and the dishwasher

A: Hi Today, thank you for your inquiry. With this model you would need to use a rinse aid to get the best drying performance. The dishes may be slightly damp immediately following the cycle, due to steam, but will not be wet hand that hand drying would be necessary.
