A: Yes to both. I have 26 of these installed in my home, in 5 different rooms. There are several static preset color schemes. You can also create and save custom colors. And there are dynamic "scenes" like the party scene you asked about. These lights don't have music-sensing, so don't expect them to change to the beat of the music at your party. But you can choose any of the preset dynamics (one is actually called "Party".
