Q: What is the size of this Atom Quadcopter
A: 2.4 gHz transmitter Body span of approx 5" The best Quadcopter I've found so far BestBuy doesn't carry. I would recommend the Syma x5c-1 and it can be found at ThinkRC.com
Q: Can this be purchased in stores?
A: We bought ours in the local Best Buy store. I think if your grandson is gentle and older ( close to a teenager) then it might possibly be enjoyable for him. My boys who are 5 and 9 did not enjoy them. They said they never worked right.
