A: Hello, The ALU-E43BSX uses an RF remote which when disconnected or the batteries are changed needs to be resynchronized. If the remote is disconnected and not properly resynced the hood can turn on by itself and receive interference from other RF frequencies. To resync the remote, the customer can follow the resync instructions in the user manual. A: Hello, The minimum CFM required to properly ventilate the cooktop would be calculated based on the BTU output of the cooktop. The maximum BTU divided by 100 would provide the minimum CFM required.
