A workhorse coffee maker
I'm a bit of a coffee snob, even though I use a drip maker. This is definately one of the best options for this route. The coffee never gets burnt, like a hot plate model and the brew time is super quick. Even though there is a timer on it, I prefer to wake up and do a fresh grind rather than leave things overnight. It brews the entire pot in minutes instead of 10, like my last couple of maker took. The only things i'd change are the pot lid top...not the screw on brewing lid but the one that goes on top of that. It's not intuitive that it's not meant to be used while the pot sits under the brew basket. Sure, it might be obvious that the coffee can't enter the pot but just when you are cleaning up and want to tuck the pot out of the way, you need to remove this lid or risk gradually damaging the frame of the maker. I like the easy cleaning. All the parts come apart fairly easy. i would highly recommend the use of a gold screen filter. They are @ $6 and do a great job and avoid the use of the paper filters. The coffee stays hot in this thermal pot for up to 4 hours...perfect for my lifestyle.

Makes hot coffee
I was looking for a coffee maker under $100 that would brew hot enough for my preference and hold the temperature for at least an hour. The coffee in my previous drip maker never seemed hot enough. I have a zojirushi rice maker and electric hot water vacuum pot and have been completely satisfied with those items. The rice and water come out at the right temperature as well as hold the temperature. They are durable and long lasting. So I decided their first foray into drip coffee makers might worth a try. So far I am extremely satisfied. The maker is sleek looking, simple to clean, simple to use. The coffee is hot and remains hot in the carafe. The only problem I had was in the screw top lid. The first couple times I lined up the dots exactly as shown into the closed position when brewing. After brewing I could not get the lid unscrewed to the open position. My husband who has big strong hands had the hardest time unscrewing it. It was vacuum sealed -figures as they are known for vacuum pots. So the next time I brewed a pot I simply left the lid slightly ajar and had no troubles at all.

Thermal Pot
I am not pleased with this particular brand coffee pot. The thermal pot does not keep the coffee hot and water is left in the stainless steel filter basket. I have read the instructional manual to see if I was doing something wrong, and it still did the same, only once did it disperse all of the coffee into the pot. I will be returning it to the Best Buy store.
