Q: Does this monitor have HDMI and/or DVI
A: This monitor has one each of VGA, HDMI, and DVI inputs.
Q: I mean is the screen glossy or matte please, not the black material, thanks
A: I think what you may be looking for is the glare factor. This monitor has somewhat of a matte finish, but more to the point, it has a nice anti-glare finish that provides great viewing quality even in bright light. I have a floor lamp next to my desk, and the lamp does not reflect in the monitor and bounce back into my face. Is that what you were asking?

A: It has a headphone jack so you can hook up portable speakers

A: We purchased this for our son to use with his laptop. Works great. Very clear, vibrant picture.

A: No speakers and the monitors that have them are expensive with bad sound quality as a rule, I use BOSE...
Q: is quality of picture excellent using hdmi connection,as compared to vga or other connections??
A: A digital image (HDMI, DVI, Display Port) is always preferred over analog (VGA). VGA analog interface can be used for high definition video, including resolutions of 1080p and higher, the transmission bandwidth of VGA is high enough to support even higher resolution playback. The issues you run into is picture quality degradation depending on cable quality and length. Obviously, how discernible this degradation is depends on the individual's eyesight and the display, though it is more noticeable when switching to and from digital inputs like HDMI or DVI. HDMI has improved audio and video capacity, performance, resolution and color spaces. They continue to develop newer versions and it has optional advanced features such as 3D, Ethernet data connection, and CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) extensions.
Q: Is this a IPS panel or a TN panel?
