I ordered this monitor listed as “Refurbished – Excellent.” It arrived a week late with permanent scuffs and markings directly on the screen. These defects are not subtle—once the monitor is on, they are clearly visible against light backgrounds. The packaging was perfectly adequate, with zero evidence of shipping damage, which means this monitor was shipped already damaged while still being labeled “Excellent.” To me, “Excellent” should mean nearly indistinguishable from new—or at worst, minor cosmetic flaws on the back or stand. Permanent screen damage does not qualify. Customer service started out polite and responsive. They initially offered a partial refund and requested photos, which I thought was reasonable. However, after weeks of back-and-forth, they came back with an unnegotiable $40 refund, which is honestly insulting given the circumstances. Why this is unacceptable: 1. I paid $550 for this “Excellent” refurbished monitor. At the same time, Acer was selling the exact same model, also listed as “Refurbished – Excellent,” for $500. Their $40 offer doesn’t compensate me at all—I could have returned it, reordered, and saved more money than their so-called resolution. 2. Throughout the process, Acer repeatedly ignored the actual concerns being raised and responded with the same copy-and-paste replies, without addressing the screen damage or the obvious mislabeling of the product’s condition. 3. After receiving a damaged monitor labeled “Excellent,” I had zero confidence that a replacement would arrive in better condition or on time. Here’s the frustrating part: the monitor itself is fantastic. The colors, image quality, and overall performance are excellent. It’s genuinely enjoyable to use. But none of that excuses receiving a damaged product and then being brushed off with a laughably small refund. Acer shipped a monitor that should have been listed as “Fair” at best, then refused to offer a reasonable resolution. This is a 1-star experience because of misleading condition grading and extremely poor customer service—not because of the hardware itself.

I ordered this as a birthday gift and to my disappointment it was delivered broken and not in EXCELLENT condition. Even if the screen had not been dropped sometime during delivery the screen still had scuffs all around the edge.
