A: No it does not but you can buy adapters to plug into you laptop and read dvds externally.

A: You can only get that configured directly at Apple's site.
Q: Would this be a good computer for editing photography?
A: Yes. This is a powerful machine & more than meets system requirements for alot of music, video, & photo editing software. Some people like to use their tablets for that as well. Technology & software is advancing so quickly that you can do simple photo editing on your smart phone.
Q: does this laptop play al 3d games and pc high definition games?
A: The games I could download from the app star ran really good. You can theoretically get games to run off steam with tinkering.
Q: When will the additional unified Ram models be available?
A: Never. They are manufactured as part of the board.
