ASUS - ROG Pelta Wireless Gaming Headset for PC/Mac, PS5, PS4 and Switch - Black

Pretty good device! Great sound quality, great mic. A bit loose on my head, but still great product.

I’m a gamer and a father and time is something I do not have much of anymore. So, the whole portable gaming concept is of great interest to me. I wanted to have a compatible headset with the brand of devices I use. I decided on getting the ROG PELTA and I use it with my two ROG gaming devices the Ally & Zephyr G14. :::General Thoughts::: The Pelta is lightweight, easy to use, has great battery life and it easy to use. I use it primarily for my ROG Ally and the sound is great and you can customize the audio to your liking depending upon the device you are using. For the more demanding games I prefer to use my laptop and I have an ROG Zephyr 14. I played The Last of US part two, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth & Metal Gear Delta. Upon receiving the Pelta I was very pleased. The box is small, and you’ll find a braided USB type B with a type C adapter, detachable MIC, a 2.4GHZ usb dongle and the headset itself. I love how lightweight the headset is and it doesn’t feel like a clamp on your head. It has a fabric like band which makes it feel great. The buttons are located on the left earcup, there is a mute button, power button which is a switch Bluetooth or 2.4GHZ, volume wheel, and a mic attachment. Using the Pelta is easy you switch the headset to Bluetooth, hold the pairing button and you are done. There are audible cues when you power the headset on and when it is entering pairing mode. The RGB is reasonable and not gaudy like some other headsets. I installed the Pelta software for “Armory Crate”. I would recommend that you make sure all the software is up to date in armory crate. And then install the Pelta software, it will allow you to make changes to the audio and microphone settings through Armory Crate. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Lightweight - Bluetooth & 2.4 GHZ - Detachable Mic - Fabric headband - Comfortable - Great battery life Cons: - None :::Closing Thoughts::: I like ASUS products and I like gaming they just go well together, If you are in agreement or looking for a comfortable headset then check out the ROG PELTA.

I own several ASUS products and have always been a fan of their gaming lineup. I got the ASUS ROG Pelta wireless gaming headset to use with my ROG Ally, After I unboxed it, my first impression was mixed. The design is minimalist, and the headset is extremely lightweight. I feel that ASUS made this headset to provide a balance between comfort, versatility, and sound performance. It features 50 mm drivers and tri-mode connectivity (2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired). The Bluetooth connection is straightforward and sounds good on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. It is very comfortable on head and sometimes I forget I’m wearing it. The headband is two bands, the top one is padded and right below that one, there is elastic band that can be adjusted to two different sizes, ensuring a better fit. Battery life-wise seems to be impressive. The headset has a wide compatibility that makes it ideal for PC, consoles like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, handhelds, and even smartphones. I like the soft, breathable fabric earcups, which make long gaming sessions much less annoying. The mic is detachable and from my testing it crystal clear, and my voice quality was praised during gaming with friends. There is also a dedicated mic mute button for quick access when activated, an red led light up to indicate the mute status. The RGB lighting on the earcups is subtle but it is nice at night that can be customized using ASUS Armoury Crate software. However, there are a few drawbacks that I wish this headset has or offers it. Despite being lightweight, the headset doesn’t feel very premium and most of it is made from plastic, which makes it feel plasticky and less premium. It lacks a 3.5 mm audio jack, and the onboard function buttons take some time to get used to. However, This ROG Pelta is a good choice if you are looking for a headset that offers good sound quality, comfortable, lightweight, and flexibility of connection and good mic for its price point.

When it comes gaming for long hours you need comfort, sound, battery life and connectivity and the Asus ROG Pelta meet all those requirements. The Pelta are a comfortable and light one size fits all headphone, the ear cushions have large cutouts for those of us with big ears. The elastic band is excellent for comfort (best I have used), I wore the headphones for hours on end without issue. The ear cups have just enough force to stay on my ears without causing any pain, the pressure is just enough to where the headphones don’t fall off but its not something you could go running with. As the ear force isn’t super firm I did notice that there was sound bleed so someone sitting next to me would hear what was playing through the headphones. The sound quality for the highs and mids is wonderful, I could hear all details while gaming and listening to music. Now the lows are slightly below average, you wont feel the rumbling base. I appreciate that Asus went with physical buttons over touch-based ones. The toggle button to turn the headset on/off or switch between Bluetooth or the 2.4 gig streaming via the dongle is perfect and should be used by all headphone makers. The buttons to mute the mic and pair Bluetooth do the job but I do wish Asus raised them a bit so I could feel them better or have some type of ribbing on them as the volume wheel does. The connectivity of the Pelta was great, there was no latency issue no matter how they were connected to any of my devices. The headphones were great during gaming and the boom mic worked as intended, my friends could hear me perfectly. Overall the Pelta are a good gaming headset that has excellent comfort and amazing battery life (so far used them for 24 hours and im sitting at 50%).

This is a first for me. I have never found a headphone that was perfect. I can always find something that, in my opinion could be improved. The ASUS - ROG Delta Wireless Gaming Headset for PC/Mac, PS5, and Mobile devices Headset is amazing. Asus thought of everything when it comes to comfort, sound, reaction time and portability. Taking the casual gamer to a whole new level. . I used the wireless set up as I have great internet. You can also set up other ways to counteract the delay if you do not have great internet. Quick Start Guide The headset itself is so easy to charge and set up. Scan the QR code on the box to download the ASUS site to register and update the headset. Important Tip: I was so excited when I opened my box that I was not as thorough as I should have been. The dongle is sorta hidden in the cardboard. As it is very small, If you are looking for it, it is easy to miss. Also the USB- C to USB-A is attached to the end of the cord. I love the microphone! It is so easy to adapt the position in so many ways. The microphone itself is movable in a full circle on the headset. Then the microphone is nicely bendable and stays where I bend it. It is perfect. The sound is amazing. I can hear the footsteps of the other players in the game. They sound so real that I found myself looking around for them. The gunshots sound like real gunshots and echo as they should. The sound quality is as near to reality as I have ever heard on a gaming headset. The headset itself has a wide elastic band the easily adjusts to my head. I had no idea my head was so small. I had to adapt the elastic to fit me. Which was easy to do with the tabs that attach the band to the headset. I have enclosed photos to show you. It is so lightweight that after getting into the game I cannot tell the headset is on. There is no pressure on my head or ears. The soft thick foam on the ear pads are not restrictive at all. They are so thick that all I felt was soft. This headset works equally on my computer and Playstation. No difference in the sound or latency an all in my opinion. As I mentioned I used my headset wireless using the bluetooth b ut you can also use the USB-C for wired connection. Just remember that you more than likely will be getting into the game and not paying attention to the loudness of the headset. I found myself doing this. I had to reming myself that I needed to turn it down to protect my ears. The buttons on the headset itself are designed in "rocker" so it is intuitive to control the volume, media playback , microphone mute and even the power. I suggest you memorize where they are so you don't reach up to lower volume and them the headset off. In my defense I only did that once. . The battery life is exceptional and does charge rapidly. I am curious how that will work as I use it a lot. I just quickly charged it so I could get to gaming. I am charged it about 20 minutes and it worked flawlessly for about 2 1/2 hours but it may have worked longer if I had not quit playing.
