Customers commend the ROG Strix SCAR 18” 240Hz Gaming Laptop for its powerful performance, particularly the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, which handles even the most demanding games with ease. The laptop's Mini LED display is also highly praised for its stunning visuals and impressive brightness.
Amazing bright and vibrant mini led screen! For me this beautiful screen beats oled. The mini led provides outstanding blacks while the 1100 nits makes highlights pop. The RTX 4080 and i9 14th gen cpu provides the power needed to play AAA games at max settings. Pics provided are side by side of the Scar mini led 18 vs the razer 16 oled. You decide

The screen is the seller here, with bright and punchy colors and deep blacks. But the performance is the same or lower than last years laptops.

As a dedicated gamer, i am happy to say that this purchase has got me set for a few years easy. The assembly is AMAZING, no issues with the keyboard, motherboard, display, nor Bluetooth or network issues to mention. The built in LED's are a conversation starter, along with the power and quality, this laptop (ASUS ROG BABAY!!!) is truly worth the price. You have amazing customization and can really personalize the ambiance of your system. Its an amazing feature, and I'm glad i have it. The monitor size makes it truly a desktop replacement in every sense of the phrase. The components are top-tier, and competitive. I have no problems running most games on ultra, or highest settings. Only down side is that you CANT RUN ANY GAMES WHATSOEVER WITHOUT YOUR POWER ADAPTER. The system will pretend to cooperate, open the app, and proceed to run at half speed, lost framerates, etc. on battery. So in short, you just cant game on the battery, period. But most gamers already know this. And when you decide to run the game and hit your hour plus mark or so, you have some serious heat coming out of the fans. Be advised, the air can get hot enough to mandate an underside fan, or additional accessories for temp control OF THE ROOM. I haven't had the system overheat yet, or trigger any internal safeguards, and i run the GPU at ULTIMATE most of the time. For example, an hour into HD2, and the office room gets a bit stuffy, and notably warmer, like 3-4 degrees. So make sure you have an open window. But the convenience is amazing, and you can move this thing anywhere. I have even hit the laptop around enough to wince a bit, and it took it fine, no chips, cuts, lost pixels, or component failure , but a mild scratch (BUT I HAVE NEVER DROPPED IT,. When i say hits, think hits when in non-cushioned bag over shoulder while exiting or entering car, or hitting walls when over shoulder)

This unit is heavy, However it’s a beast the only one that may slay it is the MSI Titan but that cost 5200 dollars for the RTX4090 version, save yourself 800 dollars and get the 4080 Scar. It also has the Best screen on the planet that I know of. Playing Dragons Dogma 2 and looking at the sky it’s as if you’re looking at the real Sun. And in the dark images are spectacular, I own 2 Oled displays and it puts them to shame, with 2056 mini led array over 18 inches and 1100 nits, you will not be disappointed buy it BUY IT NOW.!!!!!!!

First, it's ASUS, which should be enough for a 5 star review right there. Big fan of the brand and their quality for many years. Always been exceptional for me. This laptop has the best screen I've ever seen. The mini LED display is just stunning. Vivid color, and the blackest blacks.. like staring in to the abyss. The lighting effects are awesome, almost as if this thing has a mind and personality of it's own. In case it's not obvious, I love this thing. We've formed a meaningful personal relationship. It's crazy fast and handles everything without breaking a sweat. For the record sweaty laptops are a bad thing, so you don't want that, but you do want this! Stop looking and buy this right now, you won't regret it!
