About this product
The AT33xMONO/II employs a “True Mono” dual moving coil design that eliminates vertical noise producing clear mono sound with strong bass and reduced surface noise—ideal even on stereo systems. A 0.65 mil conical nude stylus precisely tracks mono grooves supported by a piano-wire suspension for improved accuracy and mid-low range impact. Its composite zinc aluminum and polymer body minimizes resonance for balanced playback while PCOCC coils ensure pure signal transmission. A samarium cobalt magnet and pure iron yoke maximize efficiency delivering warm richly textured sound.FeaturesDual Moving Coil Mono Cartridge with Conical Nude StylusPCOCC Coils Ensure Smooth Signal TransmissionComposite Body Reduces Resonance for Balanced SoundPreserves The Warmth & Fullness of Acoustic InstrumentsMaterial DifferenceThe AT33xMONO/II’s rigid duralumin pipe cantilever which tapers toward the conical stylus tip for improved response is linked with a firm suspension mechanism slightly lowering the dynamic compliance. “True Mono” PCOCC coils are positioned at the cantilever’s fulcrum to ensure pure transmission of horizontal mono signals.Sound BodyEach AT33x Series cartridge body is constructed of three distinct materials – die-cast zinc aluminum and high-rigidity polymer – optimally arranged to reduce and disperse resonance across the cartridge body so that no frequency predominates during playback. Threaded holes are incorporated into the body for easy mounting.Full Warm SoundThe redesigned AT33x Series cartridges deliver that classic analog sound rich in detail across the audio spectrum with lifelike expressiveness in the mid to low frequencies. The AT33xMONO/II preserves the warmth and fullness of acoustic instruments such as those captured on mono jazz recordings from the 1950s and ’60s.
