Q: My speakers use wires, not RCA jacks. Is there a way to make these work?
A: Yes. You can unscrew/release the speaker connection, slide the wire in and tighten to secure. I have banana plugs for the speaker and bare wire for the receiver.
Q: Will this DRA-800H unit power JBL 4 ohm loud speakers ?
A: Hello and thank you for the question. The Denon DRA-800H should have no trouble at all driving a pair of JBL speakers as the DRA-800H is 4ohm stable. Most JBL speakers tend to be highly efficient speakers making them easier to drive.
A: Hi Martini, The record out feature can be found on our integrated amplifiers, but the DRA-800H does not have this feature. The closest to such a port on the DRA-800H is the Zone 2 pre-out. As this is not a line level output port, it is affected by the DRA-800H's volume control (which can work as a secondary record level if used to feed a cassette deck's line-in). Connect the Zone 2 output of the DRA-800H to your cassette deck's Line-in port, select Zone 2 with your DRA-800H remote control, then select the source you wish to record from with the same remote control. This should allow you to record from any 2 channel source.
Q: Describe CD PLAYER connection....it seems to be lacking play out/rec in?
A: Unfortunately, today's receivers don't include a Record Out function as the use of that technology has diminished greatly. The workaround here with the DRA-800H is to use the analog Zone 2 pre-out to your Teak's input. To do this properly, you would have to set the DRA's Zone 2 pre-out to a fixed level (i.e. 80) in the menu. (General - Zone 2 Setup - Volume Level)

Q: Where do you plug in a sub woofer
A: The 800H has 2 Subwoofer pre-outs (RCA) on the rear panel. A powered sub or sub amp can be connected there.
Q: does this have Am/Fm built in?
A: Yes it receives am/fm stations
A: Hello, The sub-woofer output on the DRA-800H is a dedicated pre-out, so the answer is yes.
