Q: Does oven installation include any necessary rough space carpentry?

A: The short answer is NO! The Installation charge includes removal of existing oven, delivery and unpacking of new oven, and installation of new oven. They will also do some initial setup and testing of the new oven. For an additional charge they will modify the existing cabinet. My cabinet opening needed to be widened by 1/2 inch -- $65; it also required a new shelf to hold the new oven $100 -- reasonable charges. Currently, GE, Frigidaire, and KitchenAid all have Cabinet Modification allowances which would cover up to $300 for modifications. We purchased a KitchenAid Oven Microwave combo which was more expensive than the double ovens they cover. They denied our claim! I think that was wrong. Be certain to check that the model you buy is on their list of products that qualify for the reimbursement.

Q: Hi, we recently moved in and the space for the wall oven has the electrical cables out in the open. We were told we needed to install an electrical box. Would the Best Buy installers be able to do this?

A: No. We had to hire an electrician to move our electrical access.

Q: Greeting, My project involves some carpenters to combine microwave and oven space and fill the side and bottom gaps so combo oven look flushed installed. I wonder if this is something Best Buy installers would do?

A: The BEST BUY installers will only do, at least in my Instal a routine removal and new oven slide in ONLY!! My first crew was terrible said oven would not fit in existing space where same brand and size came out and similar need to go in. They said need 3/4” wider cut and they don’t carry saws and that’s NOT included in a $199 install, it’s a custom install for more money. So oven sat in my living room for three weeks. Scheduled carpenter and NEW BB installers. New BB installers were good and in fact the first crew was wrong and double oven did fit in existing cut out. So good luck and insist that scheduler sends a very experienced instillation crew.

Q: This service includes removal of old oven also correct.

A: Initial sales contract included removal of old double oven unit, then installation of new unit. No additional charge for removal or haul away.

Q: I have had two scheduled appointments to have my Thermador double steam oven installed and both were no show by the installers. Best Buy has now changed my account to "Installation Completed ". Help!!

A: I had a lot of problems with getting my double oven installed as well. They kept cancelling or no show. I was about ready to take it back to their parking lot and put a sign on it, but instead kept calling and rescheduling. I even called the corporate office and was promised a $100 gift card for my challenges, but that didnt happen because that order "wasn't entered correctly" and was also a no show. No oven for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's dinners, but it finally got installed. Dont give up. Be as much a PITA to them as they are to you. It works great now and I'm glad I put up with the struggle.

Q: Hi do you do installation of double wall ovens if the oven was not purchased at Best Buy?

A: i purchased the oven from Best Buy but the installer was not qualified to install. Therefore, I called a licensed electrician. They install appliances in houses routinely. You may also try a local contractor. I hope this helps.

Q: We have a double oven. Want to replace it with an Oven-microwave combo. Can Best buy do this install?

A: Bestbuy should have a 3rd party installer make any necessay modifications needed, in order to get your new appliance installed correctly, and efficiently.

Q: I have the built i double electric convection wall oven and I need to know where does the electric cord from the oven is located so I can figure out where to place the 220v outlet.

A: The pigtail is on the bottom. Our old oven had it at the top so we had to hire an electrician to move the access down.
