    Still evaluating things

    Bought the same exact model as 5 years ago - to match all the holes and bracket for over the stove installation. Everything was different so installation was a lot more work. Certain features didn't work initially but magically everything seems to be working now. I thought the old microwave was working fine - but my bride insisted that the reheat option was malfunctioning - my interpretation is that she never read the instructions. Overall, a good decent appliance.

    Great microwave!

    This microwave is beautiful in person, super spacious, and easy to use. I originally was looking for a microwave with lots of features, and this one seem to hit the mark. After delivery, I found that I didn’t really need use for those features, but still decided to keep the microwave because of it’s utility and sharp look.

    Fantastic microwave

    This microwave is lovely looking, made with quality. The silver cleans easily. I love the microwave Steam Clean feature and express cook from 1 minute to 9 minutes. I also love the sensor feature for popcorn, potato, beverage etc. it has a large tray to warm big food containers up.

Some microwaves had the marketing name XL1800 printed on the control panel which indicated the cavity size (1.8 cubic feet- XL1800: JVM1840, JVM1841, JVM1842, JVM1850, JVM1851, JVM1860, JVM1861, JVM1870, JVM1871). All GE 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for your existing 30" over-the-range XL 1800 model. Comparable models are GE Profile™ 2.1 Cu. Ft.   • Does this microwave have to be vented out of the home?

    Hello Donnajoe - We appreciate your interest in the over-the-range microwave JVM7195SKSS and we are happy to help! This model comes from the factory set for outside venting, however, it has a non-vented installation option; it can be converted to recirculating venting. Product Dimensions: 29 7/8"W x 16 1/2"H x 15"D). JVM1750SMSS: 29 7/8"W x 16 13/32"H x 15 1/4"D. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process.
