Q: Heard a rumor that the 75 inch version has an IPS panel, can you confirm this rumor?
A: Earlier, Hisense replied on the 65U7G product page (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hisense-65-class-u7g-series-quantum-uled-4k-uhd-smart-android-tv/6457433.p?skuId=6457433) that all sizes would use a VA Panel. Can you please confirm the panel type for the 75U7G?
A: I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos before deciding to take the plunge. I was expecting to have a hard time with calibration after what I read and heard. I think maybe I won the panel lottery because mine was pretty awesome straight out of the box, I really just turned the colour up slightly for my personal taste. Now is the best time to buy because they just released an 100 day love it or return it guarantee, so any trouble and you can return. Yes a LG C1 is better. Yes a Samsung q90 is better but this tv doesn't cost over 3 grand and neither is $2k better. Take the plunge, hisense will take it back if you're not happy.
A: Hello RobertR, thank you for your interest in the Hisense 75U7G. The correct VESA pattern is 600×400 with M8 screws. Thank you for pointing out this error! If you have any further questions or concerns, please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected]. Thanks again, Harley with the Hisense Support Team.
A: Although they say there are 2 positions for the stand, and I've seen videos showing the 2 mine only had the wider position. I believe the 2 places to choose from are only on the 55 and 65 inch versions the 75 inch version only has the wider setting.
A: Hello Al, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 75U7G. The TV Stand Width 59.3 x 14.5 inches / 26.1 x 14.5 inches. If you have any further questions or concerns please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected]. Thanks Again, Harley with the Hisense Support Team
Q: If I use a Roku device for this TV will I have to use the Google interface at all?
A: No, I don't use the Google interface at all. I use an Xbox and an Apple TV. When I turn on the Apple TV, it automatically turns the TV on and puts it on the correct input. So I never see the google tv part ever. AFter the initial setup, I disconnected the wifi on the tv and haven't used it since.
A: No. This tv is very bright. You will not have an issue.
A: Hello kegsworth, thank you for your interest in the Hisense 75U7G. Unfortunately, this TV does not support WiSA. You are able to connect a sound bar to this TV using Bluetooth, HDMI-eARC, optical and auxiliary connections. If you have any further questions or concerns please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected]. Thanks again, Harley with the Hisense Support Team.

Let’s get the bad out of the way, the 75U7G is not a VA panel in the US as was initially expressed and advertised. I purchased this TV based upon the reviews and for the VA panel and was disappointed when further researched showed it was not. With that said, and it might be a panel lottery type tv (where some are far better than others) as I am not experiencing the awful flashlight/halo/ghosting problems described by some other reviewers. In fact, after playing around with the settings, which is essential with this tv, I have very good black levels with minimal light disturbance. Semi lit rooms are the absolute best for this TV although it does not preform bad in the dark as demonstrated by the photos included from the movie Gravity. Opening the window shades and allowing the sun to shine in directly at the unit reveals that it gets bright and does an extremely good job at fighting/overpowering glare. Motion is good and it does a decent job of up-scaling lower end content. The football photo included is from a low quality 720p broadcast and the colors and black levels are proper including the black around the ESPN at the bottom of the screen without any bleed. This TV has good viewing angels for a larger room which would accommodate a unit of this size. HDMI 2.1 with 120hz and IPS panel which manages good black levels is actually a plus for gaming and this tv recognizes and handles the PS5 perfectly. The 75U7G handles sound differently than the smaller size versions. It has rear facing speakers on the back panel. If wall mounted there is an audio setting to enable wall mounted speaker mode that tries to reflect the sound and create a virtual sound stage. As far as TV speakers go they are fine to above average but I cannot imagine anyone buying a tv this large at this price point and settling for built in tv speaker sound which lowers the experience significantly than what you would achieve wit even a modest soundbar. It should also be noted the design of the entire back panel is different on the 75U7G than the smaller versions. I am not a fan of the misinformation which nearly caused me to return the unit. However, getting past that, for the right price, the 75U7G still checks a lot of boxes and might actually be a better gaming tv with faster response time than if it did have a VA panel. I cannot stress enough how important settings are to this tv which includes making sure you are in the right mode as settings in one mode tend to differ from the same settings in another. Also make sure when switching content, especially between SDR and HDR material that the unit reverts back to the proper settings for each type of content. This brand does not display a popup to notify the viewer if it is playing HDR10 content so the user must be aware and modify the picture settings accordingly. In my experience, local dimming must be enabled and on high. Once dialed in the picture quality, considering it has the strengths and weaknesses of IPS, is extremely good for the money if you catch the 75U7G at its lowest price. I do not know that I have seen an IPS panel handle black levels better than this one and I am certain I have not at this price range. This TV is not an OLED and does not try to be. This manufacturer puts a clear emphasis on brightness and color which lead to its strengths and weaknesses as a result. Once you get it properly configured it does provide a very good picture that seems to be unrivaled considering current pandemic prices for its closest competitors. If some of the more advanced next generation and gaming features are not a concern to you, and depending on the price difference at the time buyers might find themselves happier with the 75U6G which is currently the same price and therefore not worthwhile but can go for significantly less.

Delivery service was quick and helpful! Tv looks amazing! Works amazingly with both the ps5 and series x due to native refresh rate! There were some difficulties with making both recognize the abilities of this tv. It seems like it is a known issue. For others that buy this tv and other similar TV's, change HDMI mode to enhance then all abilities will work i.e. HDR, Dolby vision etc. The tv has been set up for roughly a week and apps work amazingly! Google tv is great, first time using one and it was a breeze to set up. Color, brightness and sound work better than the our previous tv and better than I anticipated it would be. Reflections are not an issue so far for me and same with angles for watching it. A+ Hisense! Thanks and will update review as needed!

It works great and it has a wonderful picture and UI. Only downside is it doesn’t work with Apple airplay. Perfect for gaming on my PS5
