Q: Is this heater completely silent?
A: Completely silent - No - but it is quiet enough to have it on with guests in the same room, during meals & overnight.
Q: How much wattage does this heater have? How may square feet does it cover?
A: 1500w And it will warm up a 12’x12’ comfortably
A: Unit can be fixed to one direction or set to oscillate in a 45 degree arc (non-adjustable). Oscillation speed is medium.

Q: How effective would this be outside on a patio for lounging or sitting at a table?
A: Depends on where you are and how cold it is. This unit is designed and intended for indoor use. Not saying it couldn’t be used outdoors, but unless you place it VERY close to you, the effect would be minimal. We had our basement finished out. There’s a chilly corner by the egress window in the basement. We use it there. Works well in that space. Has plenty of features: Multiple heat / fan speed settings, proximity sensor, tip over sensor, oscillate on /off. It also includes a remote. We are pleased with it. We bought it for use indoors in a dry location. Don’t recommend it for outdoors.

However, this unit cannot be used in a bathroom or other humid location, as this can damage the electronics and the heating element of the unit.
