A: Turns on ambient microphone and feeds signal to the earpieces. Basically a really big hearing aid. Useful if you're listening to something and someone wants to talk to you. Just hit the monitor button and you now hear the world around you. Note that this mode mutes mp3 audio but does not pause it. It's still playing while you listen to the world around you IRL.
A: How long do I charge insignia on ear headphones for
A: I experienced exactly the same issue however got my Insignia for a better price. Apparently the LG is no longer sold at Best Buy.
Q: Why are they so expensive as compared to others with similar features?
A: I felt the same way initially but after my purchase I noticed differences from my previous Bluetooth headset and this one; namely battery life and audio quality. (Upgraded from LG HBS 750, which did not have noise cancelling.) This particular model is on clearance in some areas currently, I bought a set for $79.99 when this model was first released. Sale price appeared to be $39.99 for this model on clearance. So long as the devices' batteries' cells have survived the time on shelves; this headset is a steal for the price!
