This sleek dryer offers big style and big capacity in a small 24” wide footprint, with a go-anywhere ventless design that can be installed side by side or stacked on top of a compact LG washer. But saving space is just the beginning—LG’s innovative HeatPump technology saves energy with the dryer usage on every load. Unlike conventional condenser ventless dryers that extract the moisture from clothes and pumps it out of the dryer, this dryer extracts the moisture and recycles it for more energy-efficient drying, every day.
Q: what is the stacking kit for this unit?
A: The dryer comes with the brackets to stack it. The KSTK2 bracket that Best Buy’s site recommends is not correct. It fits 29 inch wide washers and dryers. I know this because we had the washer and dryer installed today, May 12, 2021. We had purchased the recommended bracket, and the installer called us before our appointment to make us aware it would not work. We then checked online and found that older compact LG dryers came with the correct bracket. I called the installer back to suggest this. The team arrived with a nicely stacked unit using the brackets that come with it!
A: It needs a 220/240V outlet .
Q: Does this dryer have a vent?
A: No- it is ventless.
A: I have no answer for the power saver light as I like saving power so would not disable that mode. If the dryer was installed by Best Buy and is adjacent to your clothes washing machine, the installers probably used the included kit to route the dryer's water output to the drain you washing machine uses saving you the need of emptying the water collection tank every time you run the dryer.
Q: Is there a pedestal for this dryer?
A: Regrettably, this dryer does not have a compatible pedestal per the specifications. ^Daphane
Q: Can this dryer be stacked with the GE GFW550ssnww? If so which stacking kit do I need?
A: While there will be some interchangeability in washer and dryer models across the same brand, you will not be able to stack laundry units from two different brands. ^Daphane
A: No. The water is extracted from the wet materials placed in the dryer.

BLUF: Works great, compact, and small, but usually takes 2 hours for a regular load of laundry for me I bought this set for use in my garage and didn’t need huge capacity, but I’ve found they fit a good bit. Glad I purchased these overall Dry Times (my average estimate): - Regular load of clothes - 2 - 2.5 hours - Sheet - 2.5 - 3 hours - Blankets - 4 hours Pros: - Looks good - Option to condense water into reservoir (seen in picture) or into a water line - Stacking kit is included with the set - Time estimates have been reasonably accurate - LED light inside - Doesn’t generate much heat to surrounding space, but give off a clean clothes smell in the space - Quiet - Wi-Fi - Thought this was gimmicky, but with it being in the garage it’s nice to get a notification when it finishes (can’t hear it in the house at all) Cons: - Controls are more complicated than the GE I had in my last house - Secondary lint filter to clean occasionally (I do it monthly-ish) - No “low heat” option - It has Normal, Energy Saver, and Air Dry. Supposedly the energy saver is sort of low, hasn’t messed anything up yet - Need to take clothes out right away to avoid wrinkles - Humidity is still in the dryer otherwise Note: Trust the dryer when it thinks clothes are dry. The first time I thought they felt wet and kept starting it on timed dry (like 6 hours total). Come to find they feel dry until you get them out and they start to cool down. Woops

My apartment had washer and dryer hookups but only for smaller washer/dryer stacked. I’ve used Bosch machines in the past, but decided to try a condenser instead of a heat pump style. I like the condenser better, it dries faster than the Bosch ever did (still not as fast as the vented dryer), it’s very quiet, I like the tech of the LG system. I haven’t had any problems, but I do empty the water collector every couple of loads. One note, the stacking should be flush in the front, when the delivery people were stacking it they started to do it so that the dryer was offset, I stopped them and showed pictures of what it was supposed to look like they corrected it almost immediately.
