Q: Does this record even when the car is parked and no one in it
A: Hi Jackie, The dashcam has the capability of recording while the vehicle is turned off as long as the dashcam is either hardwired or powered by a power bank in order for the dashcam to have enough power to record while you're away from the vehicle. Q: How long is the power cable and does it plug into a cigarette lighter?

A: Hi Sherri, You'll know that the dashcam is recording by either looking at the red flashing circle on the screen or the red LED flashing light. The dashcam should begin recording automatically unless the dashcam is set to motion detection mode, if this is on please turn it off. A: Hi Omar, If the accident impact was detected by g-sensor (big enough) and triggered the emergency recording, it will automatically saved in a different folder that won't be overwritten later on. Q: how is this powered? and does it comes with charging cable?
A: It connects to the car via usb. It’s not battery-powered.
A: Hi AcuraBoee, The dashcam needs to be plugged into a power source at all times you'd like to use the dashcam unless otherwise hardwired to your vehicle. The dashcam will only last about 5 minutes not connected to a power source.
