The Tiger I was also deployed in North Africa with the Afrika Korps under Field Marshal Erwin Rommel and in Western Europe during the Normandy Invasion, the Battle of the Bulge, and the defense of Germany, eventually being outnumbered and outmatched by Allied tanks.
