Sam's P.G. and Billy the Kid
Knowing the background to this tale is important in understanding who is the hero and who is the villain. Set in New Mexico during the 1881 Lincoln county ranch wars, the question is presented as to who owes who what and whose side is the "law" really on. It is the story of both men's final days and Sam Peckinpah's final western, and not his best. This 2 disc special edition DVD includes a new cut of the film dubbed 2005 Special Edition that combined the theatrical cut, the preview version and a couple of new scenes that had never been shown before. The DVD also included the 1988 Turner Preview Version.
