Q: Where can I find an extension to the original lightstrip?
A: If you're referring to the "non-Bluetooth" version (3.0), you cannot. The 3.0 extensions have been out of production for a while and only the non-compatible 4.0 (Bluetooth) strips are available. If you want them badly enough, they can be had for exorbitant rates on certain auction websites. I found this out the hard way too.
Q: How long of a strip is needed for a 55 inch tv
A: Hello I just installed iit on the back of my 55 inch TV with cable cord arrangement command strips and I needed 1 full Lightstrip kit the $79.00 and 2 extension ones the $24.99 and it went all the way around my TV with just a little bit extra it looks very nice i love the Bluetooth feature as well make sure they are all the same the Bluetooth version hope this helps
Q: Does this work with Philips Hue Play?
A: Yes but it's not cheap. You have to purchase the light strip plus 80" (not the 40" extension) a hue sync box ($225) plus additional lights or light strips that you want to sync with the music. I Just finished my setup finally and I'm in it at just under $1000. It's very cool, though if I knew how insanely expensive the end result was going to be, I would have spent those dollars elsewhere. Best of luck
A: No -- this extension is not compatible with the 2nd generation lightstrip. I'm not sure if a 3rd gen (v3) extension would work with a 2nd gen or not.
Q: Does the color strip itself plug in?
A: This product is just an extension to the primary Phillips Hue - Base Kit and Bluetooth which has to be plugged into a wall outlet.
A: No this is an extension piece, you need to buy the original light strip with the included power supply.
A: I don't know about true "full spectrum," but these strips can be set to a wide range of white color temperatures, ranging from 2000 Kelvin (Warm White) to 6500 (Cool Daylight) -- in addition to a full range of over 16 million colors.
A: You can still find v3 lightstrips if you are adding on to an older installation.
