Q: Can this filter be used to photograph the upcoming eclipse?
A: no. you need a solar filter for an eclipse and those run for around double the price of the polarizer (you can find them at bhphotovideo.com).
Q: HOW DO I TAKE THE LENS OFF. IT SEEMS TO BE STUCK
A: Turn the lens counter clock wise as you look at it. Make sure our grab onto the base of the filter (the part that screws onto your lens) also, you shouldn't have to force it on. If it doesn't rotate freely, it not screwed on properly. Remove & patiently reinstall. You shouldn't have make too tight when installing it. Platinum Supports Shella
