Your mission, should you choose to accept it, leaves the fate of the world resting on your shoulders. Corruption continues to run rampant in the rogue South American state of San Esperito, and as a Latin field operative and specialist in regime change, you must dismantle the various factions vying for power there. What's worse is that these extremists may have access to Weapons of Mass Destruction, so one wrong move and the results will be catastrophic. Backed by a top-secret U.S. government agency, you must negate the threat of world annihilation before it's too late.
The freeform gameplay in Just Cause enables you to approach your deadly missions as you see fit. Play the island's groups against one another, incite a rebellion among the masses, or establish alliances with rebel forces and powerful drug cartels. You'll be challenged to jump from vehicle to vehicle while they're in motion, parasail, skydive and base jump in settings of more than 250,000 acres in size. Take to land, air and sea in a wealth of missions with plenty of death-defying action, spread out among the surrounding areas of the island.
