Q: I have an existing Quicken "auto renew" subscription that renews in three weeks, the renewal rate is $49.99. Can I turn off "auto renew" on my account and purchase this subscription download instead to extend my subscription for 12 months and save $20?

A: Yes you can. In fact, I used this to downgrade from a more expensive version. Once your subscription runs out, Quicken does not stop working, you just won't be able to download transactions into your accounts. You can then follow the instructions to renew using the online code that you get. I do not remember the exact wording, but Quicken will ask you if you are renewing with a code purchased elsewhere.

Q: I already have Quicken, but my subscription is expiring. When I get the download, will I need to go thru the download process, or will I just need to enter a new code to extend my subscription?
