Q: I see many comments about buying new pots and pans
A: It doesn't work for copper or aluminum unless they clad iron. Many stainless pots and pans don't work either. If a magnet will stick to your pot/pan it will likely work on the range.
Q: what is the max temp difference supported with the flex duo insert?
A: Thanks for your interest in the NE58H9970WS. The maximum temperature difference when the Flex Duo partition is in place varies depending on which oven mode is selected, but is generally about 75°F to 100°F. Please refer to page 47 of the User Manual for a chart detailing the minimum and maximum settings for the upper and lower ovens when in Twin Cooking mode. - Ms. Samsung
Q: What is "Chef Bake"? How do I bake a pie that requires regular baking?
A: Hi Jess, Chef Baking mode is the traditional bake mode. In Chef Bake mode, you can set the oven to any temperature from 175 °F to 550 °F. ^Rosi
Q: How many oven racks come with this unit?
A: One oven rack has a glide on it, which I love. There is also a flat oven rack and then another that has a built up end to it; I've removed the latter when using.... not sure what the purpose of not having just another flat rack is.
Q: Can you use regular baking method as well as convection, or only convection?
A: Hi Sweet, you can use both standard or convection baking methods on this range. ^Rosi
Q: Will this work on a 50 amp circuit?
A: Hi Diane, Samsung recommends connecting the NE58H9970WS to a 40-amp circuit, which is the upper range of the current use for which it's designed. Connecting it to a higher amp circuit is not recommended. Thanks for asking! Ms. Samsung
Q: Is it possible to input the exact temperature you want for the cooktop? (not the oven)
A: No it doesn't allow you to put in exact temperature for the stove top. Those exact temperatures aren't exact any way though as the material of the pot and how it's constructed changes the temperature. For example an aluminum pot with a steel base will not have the same temperature throughout the pot as one that was completely stainless steel even if the unit was set to say 100 degrees. No stovetop made can give an exact temperature though, no matter if gas, electric, or induction as they are not in a closed environment as heat loss due to surrounding air varies greatly. At best that "exact temperature" is an estimation.
Q: When Samsung will make this slide-in range in white ?
A: Thanks for your interest. At this time the NE58H9970WS is available only in real stainless steel, and I can't speculate as to whether it may be available in other colors in the future. Models currently available in white include the NE59J7630SW and NE59J3420SW Freestanding Electric Ranges. - Ms. Samsung
