Designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, it features five extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations, one aspherical element to minimize distortion, and Nano AR Coating to cut flare and ghosting. Optical SteadyShot image stabilization combats camera shake, while a Direct Drive Super Sonic wave Motor ensures fast, quiet autofocus with full-time manual override. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 7.87' (2.4m) and 0.2x maximum magnification, suitable for portraits and headshots. Additional features include a focus range limiter, focus hold button, dust and weather sealing, fluorine coating to resist smudges, and a rounded 11-blade diaphragm for smooth bokeh.
