Q: Memory card
A: It does come with a 8GB memory card and it is upgrade able to 32BG, you can also set it to loop or turn loop off, if there is an important video or image you want, you can always hit the lock button on the device. And yes you can take it off the windshield. The cable is like 10 feet I would say, I have my camera by my rear view mirror and ran it down my A piller and to my cig lighter
Q: How much drive time does it take to use up the included 8GB memory?
A: You can delete your old stuff right from the camera I drive about a hour a day and it records the whole trip.
Q: Night view
A: I live in the country and we have no street lights but for about a mile stretch. It does OK you can see but it's not great. Once you leave the city though it's hard to see I would recommend something with night vision camera if you drive at night.
A: I'm not sure about direct wiring because it uses a USB which is normally 5V. The dash cam automatically turns on and records when powered on, meaning if you plug it in while the USB is connected. When you unplug the power source, it automatically shuts off. So, if your 12V outlet is powered / switched when the vehicle is running, it will turn on and off automatically.
Q: Can this dash cam be rear-facing?

A: This product uses micro SD cards.
Q: Can this be plug to a usb not the lighter?
A: If you connect this to Car or Computer USB then Dashcam system goes to computer connected mode and you can't do anything to it. so you can use Lighter, Or External Power Bank..that will work perfect with this.
Q: Laptop does not identify camera for downloading video
A: That is why you use an SD card reader versus using the camera to your laptop.
