My grandson really loved this tablet till the screen broke. It even had an additional screen protector and it still broke. They should put strong durable screens on when making tablets for children. If you can get it for 20 dollars it’s worth it but I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

I got this in clearance. It works pretty well for something that was very reasonably priced good for an emergency situation. When other iPads are not working battery life isn’t that great but works fine.

Our three year old loves his tablet and with all the kid friendly features we love it too! Great learning games that have helped with counting and the alphabet! He can navigate it by himself and with all the added saftey features we feel at ease! Very durable! And easy to clean always a plus with sticky toddler fingers!

This seemed like the perfect tablet for my six year old, but we have been disappointed. The biggest problem is that it is SLOW! Slow to load apps, slow to accept input such as password characters, just all around SLOW. Workable, but not great for the impatience of a young child.
The parental controls are great - when they work! Sometimes the timer for screen time limits is just plain wrong - in either direction. Sometimes apps we have disabled mysteriously reappear. Parental controls are not things that should be buggy in a tablet made for kids.
The case does make it stand up pretty well even to the hard wear and tear of an active child (who is often frustrated with the slow loading!)
You have to connect the tablet to a google account to get access to any app that might ever cost money. I didn't really want this device to have access to my google account, but in the end I didn't really have a choice. You can turn off the ability to make in-app purchases, but you can't even download free versions without an account.
If you are going to get this tablet, I recommend turning it all the way off and charging it every night. If you leave it in sleep mode, it has a harder time understanding that the daily timers should reset. I also recommend only having only one or two popular apps to save memory space. (Most of the apps that come with the tablet are pretty simple and don't use much memory - but also don't do much.) Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours setting it up before you can give it to your kid. Definitely don't hand it to them before you've done this - it will be beyond frustrating for everyone.
