Great Follow-up to American Idiot.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Released in 2009, this collection is 18 tracks long! Like “American Idiot” it is broken into three “acts” as another punk-rock or alt-rock opera album. It is just about as good as the aforementioned CD (5 stars) and has some great stories! Having been a big fan of The Who and the rock operas “Tommy” and “Quadrophenia”, this is made in the same approach and is worth it. Many have tried this type of album format and flopped, but not here! Very well done (4.7 stars)! Great job, Green Day! Oh heck; 5 stars!

Another excellent offering from Green Day.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a Green Day fan you will like 20th Century Breakdown. Nothing ground breaking and all very familiar but isn't that what we like about Green Day. East Jesus Nowhere is a great song.

Good Album
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Green Day never fails to amaze me. They are such a great band, and a huge inspiration. This album covers alot of what American Idiot does. It has great music, lyrics, and vocals, but it sounds like a repeat of American Idiot in all aspects. Not to talk them down because I LOVE the album still, I was just hoping for something a little different. I really enjoy older Green Day around the Kerplunk era, and this sounds nothing like it. I actually saw them on their 21st Century Breakdown Tour, and I was so happy to hear them play ALOT more old music than the new. Love the album and I recommend it to anyone who is a TRUE Green Day fan. I know alot of people refuse to listen to new Green Day, but they are still doing great, just in a more mature scene.

Mind Blowing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was thinking the new Green Day album would suck, and just a cheap excuse to make money, but Green Day once again not only created another amazing album, but improved over American Idiot. This one most resembles American Idiot if you want to compare it to their other music, but 21st Century Breakdown is much more diverse, with traits from American Idiot, Warning, the 90's era punk style, and plus a newer style that seems much more mind blowing (I would define this new style based on the second song of the album, 21st Century Breakdown). When I listened to the new CD, and I still do and always will, I noticed the structure was similar to American Idiot, but the music just improves over it because Green Day let some of their early styles come back and I think this is why it is a better album. I would also say a few songs almost overwhelm me with amazement, which just improves the experience. Some may like the more solid and straight foreward style of American Idiot more, but really 21st Century Breakdown is an improvement and sets new standards.

talk about the best album of the 2000's.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Green day has done it again, they have managed to make two jaw dropping albums in a row. This CD is in my opinion is better than american idiot. The reason being is that it has more songs and it is longer. Green days songs are the anthem of a new age. Green day are not afraid to speak their minds for what they believe in. Best songs on the album include 21st century breakdown, viva la gloria, and 21 guns. 21 guns is by far the best song they have ever written, this song really attaches to you. 21 Guns really hits home. Overall this is a very solid follow up to American idiot. i recommend this album to fans and those new to green day. This album is also packed with great chorus lines to sing along to.
