Great Economical TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on a budget and needed to purchase a TV for my mother. I needed something of quality that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. I researched various TVs online and I found this one. The price is low but quality is definitely not compromised. My mom is happy with her TV and it's ease of use. Major plus since she is not tech savvy at all. It's only been a couple of months so I can't fully give it 5 stars but so far there is nothing negative to report and she uses it daily. It's her main source of entertainment. The size was perfect for her space and images have great clarity. I set it up for her and it wasn't hard to do. Just make sure you have a good screw driver. The electric drill kind would be best in my opinion.

Great Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am enjoying the use of these Insignia tvs. I was able to connect directly to our cable cords from the wall and program our channels to receive all the channels we get from our main tv in our family room. Great buy for the size and money. You have to play with the settings to get the picture size , sound, and color to your liking but once you get it set your good to go. My kids enjoy it in their bedrooms. I have set up channels to be remove that I don't want them watching due to the content and have also been able to setup their 'favorite channel lineup' thus making it even easier for them to get to their shows without flipping through every single channel. I have also been able to, with the hdmi cable (sold separately), connect my galaxy note 4 to the cable which is connected to the Insignia tv which then mirrors my smartphone screen. I can access all apps, games, SD card content from pictures, music, movies, even hulu works without error. Just remember to fix the screen resolution on the TV so it works flawless with the smartphone.

Nice TV for a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this TV as an 'open box' item with about a $25 discount. I have purchased other Insignia TV's before (32" models) and they have never disappointed me. This model also as good picture and good sound. Takes about 5 seconds to start up, but that is not a big deal. It has 2 HDMI ports which is fine (3 would have been even better) since this is the preferred way to hook up a cable box, blue ray or streaming player. It is not a 'smart' tv, but I find those to be too limited in functionality and rather hook up a streaming player of my own choice. You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy 'name brand' TV when you can get an Insignia to do the same job for much less.

Great for a 1st time HDTV purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of these TVs at different times. They are in small rooms so there is no problem with the volume. For my living room I would probably need a sound bar. There is also no previous channel return or TV guide for programs (t least I have not found it yet if it does exist). I had a TV guide when I used the box and thought that switching to HD would be the same since I do not have cable. Overall, I am satisfied with the television and was glad that it was a brand of Best Buy.

Great value oriented TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this Television to put in my daughters playroom. It's a durable screen that's had toys and sticky hands bumped against it without issue and was on the cheaper end of the Televisions in this size range - perfect for our needs. Picture is admittedly not as good as the more expensive units we have in our bedroom or our living room, but the quality is plenty good enough for watching cartoons on Netflix. If you're looking for a bargain priced panel that will survive the perils of being in a kids playroom, this is the TV for you.

Good television for dorm room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this television for my daughter returning to college for second year and was moving into an apartment. I chose this brand because of my past experience of Insignias having a great picture. It also wasn't too large for her to place above her desk area. The price was the biggest attraction for me. I recommend this television for anyone looking for a television with limited room space but still wanting to watch movies and favorite shows in high definition. The only minor drawback is the sound which could be easily remedied with a sound bar.

Great for my Dad in a nursing home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has all of the features I was looking for. I use the earphone output as input to a wireless head set. This TV has a setting which is activated when a plug is inserted into the headphone jack--it has a setting to produce a constant output to this jack that is independent of the speaker volume. This allows turning down the sound to the speakers but constant output that can be controlled at the headphones. Setup is typical of other similar TV's. Setting the picture size is a bit hard to find--it is considered an advanced setting.
