Q: Does the crock have the lead in paint or toxic non-stick surface?
A: No and no. Its ceramic
Q: where can I find the removable ceramic dish and lid? Mine is broken
A: It would probably cost almost as much as a new product. Not to seem wasteful or anything but I would recommend buying a new one. :/ sorry. Or possibly checking with the manufacturer website.
Q: Does it have a "medium" heat setting? What is the cover made of?
A: No, this product does not have a medium setting and the settings are "High--4 hours", "High--6 hours", "Low--8 hours", "Low--10 hours", "Warm" and the cover is made of Pyrex.
Q: Does this crock automatically turn itself off after the preset cook time elapses?
A: It switches to a Warming mode after the cook time has completed.
Q: Is this a Rival Crock Pot/Slow Cooker? why is there no mention of the name?
A: Crock-Pot is a brand name. Rival Slow Cooker would be the right search term for you. I bought this Crock-Pot slow cooker for a friend and she loves it
A: Generally, you don't cook things in a crockpot on high longer than 6 hours and when cooking on low, most recipes call for 8 - 10 hours. It isn't very common to have a recipe on low for 4 hours so I think that must be why they made it this way. When I do need to cook something on low for 6 hours, I set my oven timer. Not ideal, but I love how well this particular crock pot cooks, I just deal with it.
A: Is oval
Q: Can I put crock pot on 8 hours on high?
A: Not recommended. Follow directions for you crockpot and recipes. Low 8-10 hours, High 4-6 hours. Keep warm no longer than 4 hours.
