The only poor thing i can say about this is that the face is really hard to read after even one day. Scratches and constant rubbing of anything (sleeves, desk, skin) will make it difficult to read. EZ setup/sync, cleanable band, really like this.
I would recommend this to a friend

It's just fine
Just fine for counting steps. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a FitBit, but it's also a fraction of the price. The app is pretty spare, but it does it's intended purpose of tracking activity level. There is also a function to have phone alerts vibrate. It's nice and small, I hate wearing things on my wrist and this doesn't bug me.
I have been disappointed with my purchase from the very beginning.
I hadn't owned this tracker a good 17 days before it was broken. I picked it up at the store on May 25, 2019 and the silver magnet holding the wrist band together came off by the morning of June 11, 2019. The wrist band was already awkwardly positioned to where you could only clamp the strap upward, instead of having the option of wearing it downward. It does not have the traditional type of strap that you are able to buckle securely in place (probably the reason this inferior version broke so quickly). While in the app, my screen continuously displayed the message "Location authorization is required to continue operation", even when I clicked out of the app and tried to do something else on my phone. And the sleep function never seemed to operate properly. The return date was June 9, 2019.
Awesome gadget! The item that I received was what I really expected. It was in good perfect condition and so far, it’s working fine. Best Buy’s order tracking is extremely helpful, convenient and efficient.
A:AnswerYour basic/budget step counters are most likely working from averages and estimates. There are a couple different formulas that can be applied to "ballpark" calories burned. This is not going to be 100% accurate, or 100% specific to the person using the step counter. For most exercisers, walking 1 mile requires an average of 2,000 steps and burns about 100 calories. Given these averages, you'll burn approximately one calorie every 20 steps or 0.05 calories per step. Track your steps with a pedometer and multiply the number of steps by 0.05 to estimate the total number of calories burned. So, it works kinda like that. Just have fun with it. You are still burning calories, even if you don't know precisely how many....it's close-ish.
A:AnswerYou do not need a smart phone at all for charging, a charging chord/plug is provided. The smartphone is only needed to track your information or update the time/date. I have an Android and it works just fine.
