Q: Does the thermal carafe have a hot plate like the glass carafe does? The bottoms look different
A: There is no hot plate. Since the carafe keeps the coffee warm much longer than it takes to consume the contents, a hot plate is not necessary. The advantage being there is no hot plate to unintentionally place your hand on. Great purchase, great coffee - we love it!
Q: Does this model grind beans?
A: No it does not.
Q: Does the thermal carafe keep the coffee hot enough for at least an hour?
A: If you preheat the carafe with hot water before brewing coffee into it the coffee will stay hotter longer but not or an hour. Best bet would be 30 minutes for hot coffee.
A: I have only used the reuseable filter it came with. However, you can use filters, but they are not standard ones. I find grounds at the bottom of my cups/pot so i will be looking into filters.
Q: can you brew both a pot of coffee and a single cup with the Ninja Coffee bar?
A: Yes. It allows you to do one cup, a half carafe, a full carafe, or travel mug.
A: I’m sure you could probably find it on a 3rd party site. But I wouldn’t do that because the glass carafe comes with a warming plate which should not be used with the thermal carafe.
