A: This will work with Western Digital drives. I'm not sure what the exact size limit is, but my Western Digital drive is 8 TB and it works fine with it. This will NOT work with PATA/IDE drives, and will only work with SATA drives.
Q: Can I clone HD to SSD with this device? Swapping out a HDD with a SSD in laptop is the scenario.
A: Yes you can. That is exactly what I used it for.
