A: Hi Folkous, Thank you for your interest in the Sony Linkbuds S! Yes, these earbuds make crystal clear calls even in windy or noisy environments. It also features AI based noise reduction algorithm that isolates your voice and keeps conversations crisp. And yes, you can remove one unit of the headset from the charging case and use the unit by itself. In this case, only the unit that has been removed from the charging case will turn on. Q: Can I adjust the volume without using the app or another device to control the volume?
A: Yes, initially out of the box I'm not sure, once you get them paired to your phone download the Sony App, from there you can assign what the touch sensers do for you. I have mine set so tapping the left bud turns up the volume, and touching the bud constantly turns down the volume.
Q: Could these be worn for hearing protection?
A: For a concert or football game, sure. For the gun range or mowing the lawn, not so much. I have tried many ANC while mowing and it tends to eventually blow the speaker trying to compensate.
Q: Can you use one earbud at a time?
A: Yes
Q: Do these earbuds have dual Bluetooth connection (connect to phone and laptop same time)?
A: they do now after latest software update
Q: Do these ear buds sync to TV’s as well?
A: They do as long as your tv supports Bluetooth or if you have a third party dongle such as Chromecast w/ Google TV.
A: I believe 1 year just like iPods.
