A Great Smart Bulb for Beginners!
I purchased a 5-pack of the Tapo TL135E smart bulbs on January 2, 2025, and I've been very happy with them so far! Setting them up was easy peasy – the process was quick and intuitive. I primarily use them with Alexa, and the integration has been seamless. The Tapo app is user-friendly, which is a huge plus for someone like me who isn't super tech-savvy. I love how bright and colorful these bulbs are, especially when I switch them to different colors. They really liven up the room! So far, I mainly use them to turn the lights on and off with voice commands via Alexa. I've also linked them to my morning alarm, so the lights gradually brighten to help me wake up. It's a much gentler way to start the day! While I haven't explored all the features yet, I can already see the potential. I would definitely recommend these bulbs, especially to anyone who is new to smart home technology or who wants a simple, reliable, and affordable way to add smart lighting to their home. If you are more tech savvy than me, you will love all the other features! Pros: Easy to set up and use. Seamless integration with Alexa. Bright and colorful lighting. User-friendly app. Great value for the price. Cons: None so far! Great Bulbs, Poorly Labeled
These light bulbs get really bright, and I love that they are matter bulbs so it’s super simple to use them with my Apple Home. I also love that they offer local control, so they respond very quickly. However, my bulbs pairing codes came mislabeled. First, two of my bulbs share the exact same pairing code, however, both bulbs actually used different pairing codes than what was put on the bulb. A third bulb used the pairing code printed on the first two. One of the bulbs doesn’t pair with any of the codes. So just beware that these bulbs may not have the right pairing codes, which will make them impossible to use with other Matter devices. I will be exchanging these bulbs and I should update the review with more information. If I don’t update this review, the new bulbs are likely working well.
