One of the greatest movies of all time!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie has always been one of my favorites. All of the actors deliver wonderful performances that truly seem to capture accurate portrails of the feelings one would have in dealing with mental illness. The movie is quite serious which makes the lighthearted and happy moments all the more treasured. The music is also phenomenal! It’s one of the few movie soundtracks that gets stuck in my head and completely captures the emotions of the movie. A++

This is not real. You're not real!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Beautiful Mind based on a true story about John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics. The film was directed by Ron Howard, from a screenplay written by Akiva Goldsman. It was inspired by a bestselling, Pulitzer Prize-nominated 1998 book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar. The film stars Russell Crowe, along with Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, Josh Lucas, Anthony Rapp, and Christopher Plummer in supporting roles. The story begins in Nash's days as a graduate student at Princeton University. Early in the film, Nash begins to develop paranoid schizophrenia and endures delusional episodes while painfully watching the loss and burden his condition brings on wife Alicia and friends.

Informative; well presented
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is 4th copy I have purchased for family members. Leading character is quite magnetic and I feel did a marvelous job presenting a difficult illness, especially for someone intelligent and refined to have to deal with. Gives insight to others as the way outsiders see their illness and shows understanding of the demons the disabled are trying to master and remain a part of the living,

A Masterful Study of a Life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though John Nash, the subject of this biographical film, was a genius on a level few can easily comprehend, the movie is able to relate him in the most basic way, through his humanity. Though this film addresses significantly complicated intellectual concepts, it is watchable due to its focus on love and living through the shattering of a reality in the most jarring of ways.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only have praise for this movie. Truly depicts what have the disease is like. The film allows novice mental health workers to experience the issue. One must remember when the film was made and the mental health tools which were available then. Also, note the “compassion” of the family, friends, and co-workers.
